Holy Smokes, we’ve known we were going to sell the van for quite some time now, but that doesn’t make it any easier.

Now that it’s all “social media official”, and we’re reaching out to see who wants their lives to be completely rocked in Isobel (in a good way)… I’m a mess.

We’re a mess.

Isobel was our first home. She was a project we took on and built into something we absolutely love. More than just a shelter in the rain, but our place. Our Sanctuary.

She’s taken us through twelve different countries, and it will soon be a couple more…racking up over 20,000 miles of exploring this beautiful Earth. We’ve had some of the best parts of our lives in Isobel. We’ve dreamed and chased those dreams. Have been taught some of life’s greatest lessons, and learned to live life with the bare necessities. We can’t imagine who we’d be now or what these past two and a half years would have looked like if we didn’t live life in the van.

But it’s time for a change. And change, though hard, is a good thing.

New adventures have been set before us. Blessings we didn’t know existed and weren’t even looking for came up, and we’ve got to chase them. We’re moving, and of all places to be moving, it’s the furthest place we’d thought we’d move any time soon… back to Oregon.

We don’t know how long we’ll be there for, and aren’t sure exactly when the move will take place, but we know it’s where we’re being called to be.

As for ArboursAbroad and Vantrails, as Jay just reminded me as I sat back in tears, we’ve still got time. We’re in Northern Italy now and are thinking we’ll be selling Isobel within the next month, to make it back to the states in time for the holidays.

So, one more month of taking all the van goodness in. One more month of creating memories that last a lifetime, and I’m sure, one more month of learning lessons in life that will completely rock our world.

One more month of being in our little sanctuary.

But.. that doesn’t mean one more month of sharing all we’ve learned while living in the van. It doesn’t mean only one more month of ArboursAbroad. We’re still nearly a month behind in posting photos of our current road trip, and we will always have something to share, inspire, and encourage you with.

So, onward we’ll go with both ArboursAbroad and Vantrails. And as sad as it is to be selling the van and moving into another home, we’re excited about the new projects, ideas, and businesses on the horizon for the two of us!

If you’re interested in life on the road, or know someone who is, please reach out to us. We don’t want to sell her to just anyone, but to someone who will love her as we have. Someone’s who’s ready for a change in life, perspective, and scenery. Someone who’s ready to be blessed beyond measure with this little adventure mobile.

Our lives have been completely changed living in Isobel, and we’re sure she’ll change someone else’s too.

With love and blessings,

Heather + Jay
