Top Vegas Tip
We recommend having a VPN when visiting Las Vegas or really anywhere. VPNs protect your privacy and security when using the internet from public spaces. You also get access to your home country’s subscriptions abroad — aka, Amazon, Netflix, and the like.

First.. Let’s get you to Las Vegas.
We always use Momondo to find and book the cheapest deals on flights. Check here for deals, often finding deals saving us hundreds of dollars!
From the Las Vegas airport to the Las Vegas strip, the easiest way to get into town is by grabbing an Uber. Uber and Lyft or any rideshare picking you up is done at the exact same location, so don’t worry about where to snag one.
Follow the signs in the airport to the Rideshare/Uber parking area. Once your ride gets there, they’ll text you what stall they’re in and then you walk to that parking area and are off! It’s super seamless and insanely organized with workers at the stalls too!

Where To Stay In Las Vegas
We don’t have a ton of experience staying in Las Vegas, as we’ve only stayed at New York New York or in our camper van nearby.
With that said, New York New York is a fun hotel in Vegas with lots to do right inside the hotel, and it’s located right on the strip, so that’s super convenient too!
Search Hotels at momondo.com and Save Up to 35%Recommended Stays In Las Vegas

- Search Hotels Here | Always look for extra expenses like “resort fees” and parking! Resort fees can be nearly $50 USD extra!
Day One in Las Vegas Itinerary
In this two days in Las Vegas itinerary, I’m assuming you’re getting into Vegas mid-day on day one. Most accommodations will not allow for people to check in earlier than three in the afternoon, so keep that in mind when booking your flights to Las Vegas.
If you arrive before 3:00, check with your hotel about leaving your bags for a bit before check-in. Otherwise, we’ve got the perfect place for you to head first!
The Flyover in Las Vegas
The Flyover is an immersive flying experience where you sit in seats that move and flow with the show, making you literally feel like you’re flying over the different locations.
This is the perfect place to head upon arrival to Las Vegas because they also have some amazing drinks at a bar within the Flyover building and have free lockers for you to store your belongings!
There are three different Flyover shows in Las Vegas,
- Windborne | Call of the Canadian Rockies
- Wonders of the American West
- Legendary Iceland
As you can imagine by each of the names, each one flies visitors over different landscapes, with the Canadian Rockies being my personal favorite.

Happy Hour At The Lost Cactus
The Lost Cactus is in the same building as The Flyover, so you can not only choose from one of three thirty minute “rides”, you can also kill some time waiting for check-in while enjoying some of the cheapest drinks on the strip.
And no, just because they’re cheaper than elsewhere doesn’t mean they’re any less. They’re strong and tasty, and the presentation here is Instagram-worthy!
Drinks and a ride come at a discounted rate, and again, creates the perfect place for you to kill time jumping right into the Las Vegas life while you wait for your accommodation to be ready.
If you arrive when your accommodation is already ready, don’t worry — check in first and then head straight to the Flyover to experience the drinks and the show!

Check In To Hotel And Refresh For The Night
After experiencing the Flyover and enjoying your first drink in Las Vegas, pop into your hotel and get all checked in and sorted. Now’s a great time to freshen up before heading out for the rest of the evening.
Walk the Strip to The Bellagio Botanical Gardens
Before heading out to dinner, walk the strip to get a lay of the land. The walkways on the strip go up and over roads, through buildings, and run both on the ground floor and up on a walkway above the first floor of buildings.
It can be a bit confusing, so we recommend doing this while it’s still daylight out and you can kind of orientate yourself without being worried about it being dark.
Heading to the Bellagio Botanical Gardens is a great place to go just to understand where things are. The Bellagio Botanical Gardens are indoor gardens that completely change the display five times a year.
The gardens are themed and trust me, they’re more than just a normal botanical garden… it’s beautiful with water features and things like birds and more made out of flowers!

Dinner at Superfrico
If you’ve only got two days in Las Vegas, you have to visit Superfrico on the first night. And I say that, because you may just want to head back on night two as well!
Superfrico is more than just a place to grab dinner, it’s an entire experience.. just like a restaurant in Las Vegas should be!
You can call ahead and make reservations at Superfrico here, which is recommended if you’re in a large group. Otherwise, head there and put your name on the list.
Superfrico is located on the second floor of The Cosmopolitan and you’ll feel like you’re in the wrong spot when you head there. Don’t worry, once the hostess brings you through the doors, you will be in a place completely transformed!
I recommend the table-side mozzarella here, it’s big enough to share — and we also really enjoyed our lamb and scallops.. And honestly, everyone in our group of seven enjoyed every bit of their meals, so you really can’t go wrong here!
Man, my mouth is watering just writing about this place.. it’s really that good and is so much fun!

Bellagio Water Show
Walk off your dinner by heading back to the Bellagio. This time, you’re visiting the Bellagio for the free water show that happens every day.
From 3:00 pm – 7:30 pm the water show happens every 30 minutes. From 8:00 pm to midnight, it occurs every 15 minutes. Check here for current show times.
We watched the show from the stairwell and balcony leading into the Bellagio on the left side of the fountains (the side closer to Superfrico) and thought that angle was lovely.
After watching one of the water displays, we went back into the botanical gardens to kill time before the next one, and this happened to be perfect.
In fact, I’d recommend you do the same. As the botanical gardens are a lot quieter in the evening and it’s truly a different experience with completely different lighting in the evening than in the middle of the day.
Walk back out of the Bellagio to enjoy the water show from the front of the Bellagio, and then head back to your accommodation for the night.

Gambling?
If you’re hoping to gamble, now’s a great time to sneak in some gambling before calling it a night. If your hotel has a casino (most of them do) head there and play a few rounds before going to bed!
Day Two In Las Vegas
Breakfast At Primrose
Oh my goodness, Primrose was phenomenal. It’s a completely different atmosphere than Superfrico, in fact, nearly the exact opposite, but it’s the perfect place to start your day.
Not many places take reservations for breakfast in Las Vegas, and Primrose is no different. So, get there early if you don’t want to wait in line and make sure your entire party is there because they’re not so happy to seat you before everyone shows up.
At Primrose, they serve Lavazza for their house black coffee, and it’s one of our favorites from when we lived in Scotland. It’s super tasty!
We ordered the eggs benedict and an egg sandwich here, but also had some of the French toast, and all three were great!
Honestly, Primrose is a restaurant where I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order.

Shopping | Luxury + Outlets
Las Vegas is great for shopping. Any high-end fashion that you can think of you’ll surely find on the Las Vegas Strip. The Shops at Crystals and just window shopping is fun here!
If luxury, designer fashion is in your budget, you’ll have a great time shopping in this area of Vegas.
If $700 USD blazers aren’t for you, head out to the Las Vegas Outlet Mall. It’s an outdoor mall with all the different name brands! I snagged some Nike trail running shoes for under $50 USD here, when normally they’re well over $100.

Simple Grab and Go Lunch
There are many places to grab a quick bite to eat on the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. You can also save some of your budget and grab a super cheap burger and fries at In N Out.
In N Out is a chain restaurant that’s all over California, and is definitely a thing to try when on the west coast. Luckily, there’s an In N Out in Las Vegas, and shoot, this may just be the cheapest meal you eat the entire time in Vegas.
Grab a burger, fries, and a milkshake for right around $10! A great way to save a bit of cash in Las Vegas!

Pick An Afternoon Activity
Pool Hang And Drinks
If your accommodation has a pool, take some time to just relax at the pool. Even better if your accommodation offers drinks at the pool! Spend a couple hours just relaxing and enjoying your time!
Meow Wolf Art Exhibit
Unfortunately, we have yet to visit the Meow Wolf Art Exhibition in Las Vegas, however, we’ve heard raving reviews of the place.
If you can squeeze it in here, head out to this art exhibition. And don’t worry — it’s not just for art lovers, it’s an interactive exhibition that’s supposed to be super good!
Flyover Las Vegas
If you didn’t do the Flyover Las Vegas on day one in Las Vegas, head there now for an awesome flying ride and great drinks after the show!
Shoot, even if you did the Flyover yesterday, do a different show today! It’s really that great!

Afternoon Magic Comedy Show
The Nathan Burton Comedy Magic Show is said to be the best afternoon magic show on the strip! It’s a fun interactive magic show that will leave you thinking what the ffffff????!!!

Shark Reef Aquarium
The Shark Reef Aquarium is located in Mandalay Bay. You can take a free tram from Exhubiter to Mandalay Bay and then spend an hour or two at the aquarium. At this aquarium you’ll find over 2,000 animals, and get to walk through two different tunnels with fish, turtles, and sharks swimming above you!

Ride The New York New York Roller Coaster
Adventure junkies can jump on the New York New York rollercoaster taking you on big drops, twists and turns, and even having you flip completely upside-down in one spot!

Dinner Day Two in Las Vegas
There are a couple of places that we didn’t eat at, but had lines out the door and seem awesome to try. The Barbershop literally had a line out the door and almost to the outside when we walked by there. Unfortunately, we had just eaten and were completely full, otherwise, we would have loved to try it out!
The second place we really wanted to go, but again just didn’t have time / were too full after breakfast for lunch before our flight was the Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips. After living in Scotland for two and a half years, when we saw how these fish and chips were made, we really wanted to try them.
The fish and chips at Gordon Ramsay’s look like the real deal proper British fish and chips!
Alternatively, and honestly, we would have if the choice was up to us, is to go back to Superfrico for a second night. If you didn’t try the table-side mozzarella on day one in Las Vegas, try it this time! It’s really good!
Night Show In Las Vegas
After wrapping up dinner, take your pick of any of the night shows in Las Vegas. You’ll find everything from Magic Mike with strippers to Cirque du Soleil shows. Scroll through the shows below and reserve your seats ahead of time.
Enjoy The City Lights
Walking the Las Vegas Strip at night is a complete different ball game. The bright city lights are something else! Be sure to keep your belongings save in something like this cross bag, or fanny pack!
We recommend walking the Strip the second night because by then you’ll have a better idea of where everything is and how to get around everywhere, so you can walk the strip with confidence in the dark.

Night Cap At The Martini Bar
A chocolate martini? Yes, please. My mom loves a good martini and she raves about this place. She really enjoyed the chocolate martini, and if it wasn’t 2:30 AM when we got back to our accommodation, we probably would have gotten a martini there too.
Leaving Las Vegas
Most check outs in Las Vegas are by 11:00, but sometimes you can swing a late check-out … though be careful, a lot of times hotels in Las Vegas will try and charge you for a late check out! It’s annoying how many extra fees the hotel in Vegas have!
If you can’t get a late check-out, there’s usually a place to store your luggage at the hotel’s front desk so you don’t have to carry it around until your flight.
However, we recommend traveling with only a backpack for your two days in Las Vegas! You’ll be able to fit everything you need in a small backpack and then don’t have to deal with the hotel’s extra fees!

Time For Sit Down Breakfast? Try The Henry
If you have an early flight, be sure to stop and grab something to go for breakfast at a Starbucks or The Egg Shop The prices at the airport in Las Vegas are especially high — so you’ll want to avoid getting food there!
Have a late flight? Check out The Henry for your last meal in Las Vegas! We had the breakfast burrito and the short rib benedict and holy smokes they were both great. I’d definitely go with the short rib benny again, as it’s served on hashbrowns and the meat is so tender!
Whew! There you have it! A fun-filled, super full two days in Las Vegas! I’m going to say it one more time just to get my point across, you have to go to Superfrico! It was such a fun experience, and one that I’m already hoping to have again soon!
