Throughout our two and a half years living and traveling through Scotland, we came across seven different abbeys. Most of the Scottish Abbeys from this video are from the south of Scotland, but Pluscarden Abbey is an abbey in the highlands. Whether you’re traveling in the north or the south, there’s an abbey for you!

Four of these Abbeys can be seen as a day trip or weekend trip to the Borders, in the south east of Scotland. They are as follows, Dryburgh Abbey, Jedburgh Abbey, Kelso Abbey, and Melrose Abbey. Sweetheart Abbey and Dundrennan Abbey are found in Dumfries and Galloway in the southwest side of Scotland, while Pluscarden is up in the highlands of Scotland.
